Lots of Halloween Fun had by all :)

In the midst of the Halloween excitement, we celebrated Grandpa Newsome's 62nd birthday ~ a little belated! He was in Florida visiting Grandma Kitty during his birthday, but I made him a special "surfboard cake" with Devil's Food cake for his belated celebration at home! I am still learning, but am really enjoying my cake decorating classes and his cake gave me an opportunity to practice my newly learned "skills"~ It truly makes me appreciate the time and skill that is required to decorate a cake...I had NO idea how much work it could be! Happy Birthday, Dee Dee/ Grandpa Newsome! :) You're never too old to catch a wave!

Halloween proved to be lots of fun for everyone! Mommy and Daddy had no idea that Hunter would "get" trick-or-treating this year, but boy did he figure it out quickly! He had a blast walking around with the family as we took him out in shifts and by the end, he really had the hang of putting his pumpkin out there for his treats - He did a great job of telling everyone "Ba Ba" after they gave him his treat (his version of Thank you)! Later that evening, Grandpa Newsome stayed with Hunter while Mommy and Daddy went to their friends' Ernie and Cassy's house for a little Halloween party. Their costume was a big hit and got lots of laughs (see photo below) We hope that everyone enjoyed a happy and safe Halloween and that you are keeping warm as the temperature drops again! Have a great week!

One of the few pictures that we got with his hood on...didn't last long! He was a headless frog for much of the night!

So excited about his treats!

Couldn't believe all the candy that people gave him!

Hunter getting sleepy, but one last attempt at a family pic!

Too bad that Will wasn't really a member of the Prize Patrol!! But, the costumes were sure fun for the night! :)

This video is a little dark, but worth a view! This is Hunter coming back from trick or treating ~ his excitement was just too cute! :)
