Mommy had the privilege of meeting a very special person today. His name is Kim Peek and he and his father presented at an Autism conference today. Kim's life inspired Dustin Hoffman's role in the movie "Rain Man", so Kim is known as "the real rain man". He is a true inspiration to anyone who comes into contact with him and anyone who witnesses his display of knowledge. Mommy got to talk with him and his father and even got to take a photo with him and hold the Oscar award that Barry Morrow (the producer) presented to Kim for being his inspiration for the film. That is so awesome Rachael! How great that you got to meet such an inspirational person, I bet that their story was truly heartwarming and a testament to all of those who live with disabilities. The human brain is an amazing thing!!! Thanks for sharing!!!
