A crazy week for Hunter's tummy! :)

Well, the first week of school is down (although it was only technically 4 days) and we have survived! Rachael is quickly realizing just how spoiled she was over the summer and Will is counting down the minutes until Rachael and Hunter get home so we can spend family time together! During our evenings this week, we enjoyed every second of our time together which consisted of a little tickle-time, Hunter playing in his jumper and us playing on his blanket with all of his toys. Hunter had a little stomach bug this week, so that made it even harder to be away from him since all you want to do is be there to protect him and make everything better...but, boy are we lucky that Gram was there to do that! We took him to the doctor this morning and they put him on lactose free formula until his stomach is all better and things return to normal. :) They also put us up to the challenge of attempting to feed him rice formula from a spoon - since he will be 6 months old this coming week, they said it was a good time to start getting him used to eating from the spoon! Tonight was the big night for the debut of the spoon...and it was overall very successful! I don't know whether every food will be this easy, but he didn't seem to mind it! In fact, he kept grabbing the spoon and pushing it back into his mouth! We won't say that no cereal ended up on his chin or his bib, but we figured it was a success since he actually ate some! We have attached a video of tickle time and his first eating experience below! Enjoy! :)

There is nothing like your baby's laugh to make a long day at work worthwhile...all so that you can provide a life for him where laughter is possible.

If he is anything like his daddy, Hunter will always be a hungry boy...always standing with the door to the fridge wide open, looking to see if anything new has appeared since the last time he opened it...and to think it all will have started from a measley little 2 tablespoons of rice cereal :)
