all the hype

March is an exciting month...

March being Hunter and Dadda's birthday month gives us lots of reasons to celebrate throughout the  month...this year was no exception!  Hunter enjoyed his 5th birthday by spending a fun filled day with his three ladies, followed by an action packed bouncy birthday party with his wonderful friends, and then a family party on Sunday to close out his "birthday week".  He is so proud to be 5 years old and we were so happy that he was able to have so many of the special people in his life there to share it with! :)   Thank you for helping to make his 5th birthday so fantastic!! :)

On his "birthday eve", he was able to open up his present from Aunt Barbara and Uncle Rob...it could not have been more suiting!  He has just started collecting an allowance and they gave him a coin bank that keeps a digital running total of the amount of money he has put in it!  Of course, the math nerd in me is all geared up and ready to teach him all about currency, but I will hold back for a little while! :)

While spending the day with his three favorite ladies (Gram, Auntie and Momma), Hunter had his 5 year old picture done and they turned out really good!  As always, I could have bought them all, but I held back and just went with two poses...

At Hunter's request, his cake was Hot Wheels themed...apparently one of the cars must have had a burnout, knocking over a few cones in the process!  I had lots of fun making it for him and his expression made all of the hours and hard work totally worth it! :)

While we waited for the Short Pump train to start running, we let Hunter entertain himself in the food court play area and I think he could have stayed there half the day...he loved it!  I absolutely love having a kid that is so happy and easy to please!!

Next, we tossed a few shiny pennies into the fountain while making birthday wishes for the coming year!  Hunter had a hard time understanding that he was supposed to keep his wishes to himself and not tell us what he had wished for...he got the hang of it after a little bit of practice, though! :)

Taking a ride on the Short Pump train...All aboard! :)

A special birthday lunch at Red Robin...with Hunter receiving the treatment of a King! :)

Oh, and don't forget about the adults...Dadda, Momma, Pa Pa, Gram, Pap Pap, Auntie, and Scott all decided that there is no such thing as being too old to play and have fun!!

Hunter got so excited when he found out that the second half of his party was going to be glow in the dark themed...and he would get to wear his very own glow shirt!!

Everyone loved the Cyclone wind tunnel!!

Hunter counting down for Hide and Go Seek in the dark...

Quick, everyone, hide!!

Family party to celebrate St. Patty's day and close out Hunter's birthday week :)

We kept teasing Hunter about wanting a Barbie doll for his birthday, so I couldn't resist...I wrapped one up just to see his expression and it was so worth it...He tried to chuck it across the room, but I stopped him and had him pose for a quick picture...love that he can always take a joke so well...it comes in handy around our house! :)

Hunter and Dadda had to try out Hunter's first shaving kit...he has wanted to shave every day since he got his kit and he always wants us to feel how smooth his face is! :)

Thank you to everyone for making Hunter's birthday so special and a special thanks to Auntie and Heather Bryant for helping to capture the great memories along the way...Happy Spring to you All! :)
