August and half of September gone in the blink of an eye...

It is hard to believe that I haven't posted since the end of July, but once I looked at all of the pictures I had to post, it made sense...we have been pretty busy!  Between fun times with friends and family, our family beach vacation, the start of school, and our weekend getaway with Tina and Dan, we have had lots of fabulous times and made wonderful memories that we will forever cherish...Here is a snapshot of what we've been up to!

Hunter hard at work :)

Trying out our new dining set!
Fun in Gram and Pap Pap's pool...

Practicing writing his letters...he is growing up so fast!!

Fun with the Paynes at the Hunt's house...

Foster growing up so fast...

Bryant and baby Asher
Flip Flop cake for the Dooley twin's pool birthday party :)

Our professional beach pics...or a few of them at least! :)

Practicing cutting...

Sweet boy loves his jammies...wonder where he gets that from??  :)
So, we spent the day at Auntie's house and when Hunter woke up from his nap, he kept asking to go swimming in Auntie's pool...well, since Auntie doesn't have a pool, she decided she would make due with her garden hose...Hunter's reaction was hilarious...he kept saying "Auntie, this isn't swimming and this is not a pool" as if she didn't know!  We laughed so hard we cried! :)

Sorry, the pictures are kind of in a random order...back at the beach...our not so professional, but still special pictures! :)

My dad pretending to be an excited redneck with a "booby mug" we found at Wings...only at Wings...

Our home sweet home for the week...and again for a week next year! :)

Enjoying some yummy blue crabs from our new friend in the OBX, Gene...he is apparently the guy to get crabs from and we are convinced...they were delicious! :)

Those crabs were not very happy...to say the least!

There is no such thing as a beach vacation without a trip to the DQ :)

Hunter perfecting his Wii Bowling :)

Another priceless reaction to the Hampton Roads bridge tunnel :)

Thank goodness for the Leapfrog Leapster for long trips...

Riding on the Grave Digger :)

Auntie trying out Hunter's floats :)

Hunter loved his rides on the boogie board in the pool...my arm muscles didn't love it quite as much! :)

Hunter trying out as many flotation devices as he can at once!! :)

Home just in time for Irene's visit...unwelcome visit that is...

We were so blessed to have wonderful neighbors...some that we had never met before...to help clear our tree...they worked as a team going around the neighborhood from house to house cutting and hauling away the many trees that were destroyed...we were so thankful that there wasn't more damage than there was...

Dadda and his little helper "vacuuming up" the leaves off the lawn :)
Our crazy mess of wires that was a blessing once we had a generator...we were at least able to have fans, cold drinks, hot food and hot coffee and charge our cell phones and laptop

Back to school get-together with a few teacher friends :)

Robin, Margaret, Gail and me

The first Hokie game...hosted at the Hunt house :)

All the guys in their Hokie gear

My two men <3

The guys riding in the back of the minivan watching a movie on the way to our b and b weekend...

Tina and I "eating the garnish" at a restaurant that we nicknamed "Everything but Entrees"...seriously, everything was delicious EXCEPT for our main course...okay, maybe not the garnish...but everything else! :)

Our waitress, Betty, that was asked to take care of us from the innkeeper at our BnB

Yummy cobbler desserts on the house :)

breakfast room

we got lots of good use out of the chiminea...Will decided to give us a little fireworks show, in fact...Dan thought it was the 4th of July! :)

Starting our winery tours...

The guys surprised us with a picnic basket full of good snacks (already sliced up and ready to eat) :)  We were very proud!
Best Friends...we only get closer and closer...

Our theme for the weekend was "Friends, like wine, get better with age"

We hope everyone is having a good week...it is hard to believe that Fall is upon us and before long it will be pumpkin picking time!  I'd say we are all ready for some cooler weather for a while...We love you all! :)
