This past Tuesday was a day of firsts for our family! Hunter started "school" at The Learning Connection in Mechanicsville, where he will attend two days a week. We chose Tuesdays and Thursdays to be his school days and he will continue to spend time with his Gram on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays! We look forward to him making lots of new friends, learning to share and learning lots of new things along the way! His first week went well...there were a few tears on Tuesday during lunchtime and some tears again on Thursday when Mommy dropped him off...We all know that this will get better with time, and we can't wait until that day comes! Despite the tears, though, when we ask Hunter whether he wants to go to school, he doesn't hesitate to say "yes" and he says the same when we ask if he had fun at school! On the same day that Hunter started school, Mommy started a new class as well! She decided to take a digital scrapbooking class with her college roommate - it only meets once a month and it will allow her the opportunity to learn about lots of fun techniques and ideas for capturing memories! So, with the new year, came new ventures for our family! We hope you all have a wonderful weekend! As I type this, it is snowing outside...might I have a snow day or at least a 2 hour delay tomorrow?? That would be fine with me! :)
"Hunter" sent me flowers at work to let me know that he was having a good day at school b/c his dada knew that I would have a hard time on the first day...it turned out to be much better after I got the flowers and the sweet note from Hunter, thanks to my wonderful husband! :)
Each day, Hunter's teacher gives us a daily report of what he did during the day - he had a breakdown during lunch, so he didn't eat at all, but he ate during both snack times and he napped for 45 minutes, which we were very pleased with!
